Talronto started almost 3 years ago. In a way to share our thoughts, feelings and stories to the world !

Our time in Toronto was definitely wasn’t easy and sometimes lonely. It took us time to meet new friends and know where to go and what to do.
But… when we did, life became brighter. Suddenly we had friends to go to, places to meet, share our thoughts and problems with the locals (Israeli locals that is…).  We found out that the winter is not that bad as we thought, summer is heaven, and the trips – oh the trips but you know what? Trips are worthless without someone to share it with, not only us 2 but with our family and friends.

So it hasn’t been 3 years since we left but we feel that our time in Toronto is done. And we are both ready to go back and start our new life in Israel. We know that it won’t be easy at start but we got you guys to help us.

Tal is starting her new job today ! Let’s all wish her good luck !!

I finished to close all our business in Toronto, and getting ready to go back to Israel. Very soon.

So I guess this is Good Bye.

Our last big thing here has been sold.  Our Talronto Car.
We have nothing bad to say about this car. We were amazed everytime we had to carry stuff in the car.  2 bikes, a huge dresser, and a full 1.5m mirror from Ikea every time we just couldn’t believe how much room was inside.
It took us all around east Canada.  Toronto, GTA, Montreal, Quebeq, New York up state and more…
We had a great time !! Thank you !  (just too bad we lost so much money on you during these 2.5 years….not nice).

We kept lowering the price… I guess it wasn’t worth as much as we thought it is… oh well. Sold. We sold it to a Lebanies guy   It was funny that we are bothing sitting in the same car.  I’m from Israel and he is from Lebanon. I actually felt that I can solve all Jewish-Arab conflict then and there!

Some of you may already know… Tal is already in Israel. Arrived few days ago to prepare the grounds.
Meanwhile I was left behind to close everything. The bank accounts, the cleaning… and the cargo. Soon that too will be done and I will be on my way to NYC to meet the family (and for some shopping of course. List is prepared).

I managed to get myslef a media pass to all the concerts this week in the Canadian Music Festival. So I’ll be busy taking pictures during the next few days. The highlight of the shows is Friday, when Slash is coming up on stage. Hope I’ll get to shoot him… great portfolio boost.
Now that all the major things are done, I’m finding the time to make up on lost PS3 time and some movies.

So I guess this is almost done ha. Last week. This last week the weather was like summer. 23c with clear blue sky. Amazing. Mid March. Amazing. I going on for some trips downtown to photograph.
I stood yesterday on the street and I was trying to think if there is a reason why I should hurry home. And there wasn’t. So I kept walking the streets….  funny feeling. Try think about that.

We all wish Tal HUGE SUCCESS and BEST OF LUCK in her upcoming job interviews !!!

Tal and I are at home for the past 3 weeks.
So at first we bought many things for our house to look better in order to sell it fast. It worked ! We sold it ! We got the final approval today. House – SOLD.

PartyMagnets - SOLD

We sold our amazing PartyMagnets business !!!  The amazing this is… many people are shocked and amazed when we tell them that, guess no one actually believed we will sell our small little business. .  We are kinda sad, because it has tons of potential. People are still calling us to book dates and telling us how mush of a great idea it is !  Well, we will do 2 more events next week and then we are giving everything to the new owner (a nice Jewish photographer).

So ! next thing is the TALRONTO car !   soon we will sell that too…

Now that we are on our final arrangements, and the apt is sold, we returned all the stuff that we bought and started to buy things for ourselves. Like this -

Seeing outside of the box

Yes ! LG LED 3D, 47” .   The only TV that was in our budget…   and we are happy with it !  Even got 4 glasses with it ! so you are all welcome !! (only 2 of you…).  Cool thing about this TV is that it transform also 2D to 3D ! so you have endless possibilities to watch 3D. The future…..

The guy from the shipment and cargo was here today. Telling us that we have LOTS of room… and we were worries whether to take our couch or not… so now we are thinking to buy more things !!
Any ideas….??

End of an era. End of our little adventure.
If you are reading our posts you know that the situation in Amdocs here in Rogers account was not very bright for the past few months. A lot of uncertainty, people really didn’t know what is going on. Well, Since I haven’t found a proper position after the current one (and didn’t want to sign for another year for a different boring position) Tal and I just waited for Amdocs to give me a date. Date where they tell me “That’s it. Here is where it ends. Thank you for coming”.

Tal left  her job 2 weeks ago and I’m “working from home” since they gave me the date. Oh, the date by the way is Mar 7th.
It doesn’t say we are back on Mar 8th. But we definitely started to close things here….
We published our apt. for sale (yes, sale, not rent). We will issue our car in few days. Selling furnitures, electrical equip. and Our little pretty business.

Tal and I became masters of home design. On the past 2 weeks we bought so many things to the apt. to make it look prettier and warmer.
Couches, vases, pictures, paints, carpets…. bought, tried, returned… and goes again and again. Till today.

Living in a museum

Here are some happy news – Today we got an offer for our apt. and we signed it.  Yes, so we kinda sold it. It will take few more days for the approval to go through but basically we sold our lovely apt. (which we love so much !! we will miss it…. we are really going back ha….)
And the pool and the gym.. what we will do without that….
So apparently our return date will be around Apr for us to come back to Israel. We have few more things to close (including money transfer for the apt.).

Tal and I are really enjoying our time now. We both don’t work, spend the time most of the day in malls and in shopping. Sometimes eating outside or going out with friends. We really make our last few weeks here relaxing and worth while.

Last weekend we spend with Idit, Arik and Itay in a weekend of snow (storm !!) in Upstate New York. It was great fun to see them again and spend some time with Itay. We have some great pictures HERE !
On our way to-and-from the resort we had snow storm, we drove very slow and it took us almost 8 hours drive (instead of 5). But it was fun.

Hearing Galgalatz now. You have snow in Ramat Hagolan? Snow?? even we don’t have snow anymore, and we live in Canada!!

So ! back to the sun ! and the bike ride !
I missed those songs in Galgalatz…… and the shipudim !!! and falafel on the street. hmm… those little things.
You know what, here is another reason to go back ! I see that Guns N’ Roses are coming to Israel in the summer – this reason alone worth coming
to Israel !! (This… family and friend of course…   )

We are still getting things done here. Selling many things that we don’t need, buying new things to take with us to Israel. And we need to plan our trip to Vegas

Our last winter in Canada is coming to its end. We hardly felt it. Usually you get 3-4 days a year of snow storm where you can’t leave the house. In this winter (just started Feb…) we had only 2 days below (-15).
This week is going to get warmer (+3)… so I guess we were lucky this time. Well.. Depends… I really wanted to shoot in the snow this year.

So we took advantage of the little snow we have and went skiing !
Tal stayed at home to keep the house standing.

We are watching Big Brother (Israeli version). And I must say, after last night episode, I think that Big Brother is amazing !!!  I’ll explain, the show gives tasks to the people in the house,  the only way they will win (the people) is only if they work together ! they must work together !! But… because they are all packed up in one house.. and there are friends/enemies, groups…. it won’t work… It’s a window on our society ! (well… kind of). But still…. Although there is one winner, the only way to survive and live well inside the house is to work together !  I like it.

We still don’t have any new news about the job and/or about us staying in Toronto.
Situation is still unclear, and let’s say, we have started to make a list of stuff to buy before going back… It is a looong list.

We will update you the min we will have something !
